Mum: Yes, dear. We’ll buy a beautiful one.

Mai: And how many banh chung shall we buy?

Mum: We won’t buy banh chung, dear. This year, we’ll make them at home.

Mai: Wow. . . I like cooking banh chung. I will help you with that.

Mum: Yes, sure. And I’ll buy some new clothes for you and your brother.

Mai: Thank you, Mum. Shall we buy something for Dad, too?

Mum: Yes, we’ll buy a new tie for him.

Mai: Should we buy something for grandma and grandpa?

Mum: Yes, of course, dear. We will get them some sweets and. . .

Mai: And some fruit. . .

Mum: No dear, we shouldn’t buy fruit. It’s too early. We should wait until the 30th.

Mai: Yeah, Mum. And don’t forget to buy some chocolate biscuits for us.

Mum: No, I won’t, dear. I will buy you the most delicious biscuits.

3. Now write an e-mail to a friend about your Tet holiday. Include what you will and won't do. Also include things people should and shouldn't do. Use your notes from Speaking and the rest of the unit to help you.

I feel very happy. Our Tet holiday is coming. This year I will clean and decorate our house. I will go for shopping to buy new things: clothes, furniture, sweets, fruit, apricot blossoms. I won’t buy banh chung because we will do it ourselves. And we also won’t buy fireworks because we will go to the city center to watch fireworks.

At Tet, people should get up early, dress beautifully and welcome New Year guest.

People shouldn’t give black cat as a present because its cry sounds like the Vietnamese words for poverty.

Mình thấy rất vui. Kỳ nghỉ Tết của mình sắp đến rồi. Năm nay mình sẽ lau dọn, trang trí nhà cửa. Mình sẽ đi mua sắm đồ mới: quần áo, đồ đạc trong nhà, bánh kẹo, trái cây, hoa mai. Mình sẽ không mua bánh chưng vĩ nhà mình sẽ tự nấu. Mình cũng không mua pháo hoa mà sẽ đi đến trung tâm thành phô" để xem pháo hoa.

Vào dịp Tết, mọi người nên dậy sớm, ăn mặc đẹp và chào mừng khách đến nhà trong ngày đầu năm mới.

Mọi người không nên tặng mèo đen bởi vì tiếng kêu của nó như từ chỉ sự nghèo khổ trong tiếng Việt.

Tet holiday is coming and I am very excited. My father and I will repaint the house this year. My mother will go shopping to buy somethings necessary for Tet. My mother usually buys sweets,fruits,apricot and peach blossoms,new clothes and other things. But we don’t buy fireworks because we will go to the My Dinh Square to wach fireworks. it’s so interesting.

During Tet, people usually get up early, dress beautifully clothes and make wishes for a happy year.

Ah,we don’t give a cat as a present for anyone because it is a symbol of poverty

Tết sắp đến rồi và tớ đang rất háo hức về điều đó. Tớ với bô tớ sẽ sơn lại nhà năm nay. Mẹ tớ thường đi mua sắm những đồ cần thiết cho Tết. Mẹ tớ thường mua bánh kẹo, hoa quả,hoa đào và hoa mai,quần áo mới và các thứ khác. Nhưng chúng tớ không mua pháo hoa vì chúng tớ sẽ đến quảng trường Mỹ Đình để xem pháo hoa. Thật là thích.

À,chúng tờ không tặng mèo cho bất cứ ai bời vì điều đó là biểu tượng của nghèo đói.
