While George was reading in bed, two thieves had climbed into his kitchen. When they had entered the house, they went into the dining room. It was very dark, so they had turned on a torch. Suddenly, they heard a voice behind them.

"What's up? What's up?" a voice had called out. The thieves dropped the torch and ran away as quickly as they could.

George had heard a noise and came downstairs quickly. He turned on the light but he couldn't see anybody. The thieves already went. But George's parrot, Henry, w'as still there.

"What's up?" he called.

"Nothing, Henry," George said and smiled. "Go back to sleep."

"What's up?" he called.

"Nothing, Henry", George said and smiled. "Go back to sleep".

Trong khi George đang đọc trên giường, hai tên trộm đã leo vào bếp của anh. Khi họ vào nhà, họ đi vào phòng ăn. Trời rất tối, nên họ đã bật đèn pin. Đột nhiên, họ nghe thấy một giọng nói phía sau họ.

"Có chuyện gì thế? Có chuyện gì vậy?" một giọng nói vang lên. Những tên trộm đã đánh rơi đèn pin và chạy đi nhanh nhất có thể.

George đã nghe thấy một tiếng động và nhanh chóng xuống cầu thang. Anh bật đèn nhưng anh không thể nhìn thấy ai cả. Những tên trộm đã đi rồi. Nhưng con vẹt của George, Henry, vẫn còn ở đó.

"Chuyện gì thế?" nó gọi.

"Không có gì, Henry," George nói và mỉm cười. "Đi ngủ lại đi."
