The climate is often hot and humid. In North Vietnamthere are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. In summer it is hot andsometimes very hot but in winter it is very cold. In mountainous regions in the farNorth (such as Sapa) the temperature sometimes drops below zero. In the Central Vietnam temperatures are high all year round. It tends to be warmer andmore humid than the South in the middle of the year and cooler during the dry seasonfrom November to April. Flooding may occur from October to December. Rainymonths are August, October, November. In South Vietnam there are only two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. Itrains lot from May to November. In the dry season it is very hot.
